VCL Gold Medal Night tickets selling fast!

Football Federation Victoria has had an overwhelming response to the upcoming Victorian Champions League KFC Gold Medal Night, with Etihad Stadium’s Victory Room set to reach capacity!

Some Zones are already SOLD OUT of their allocation, so all VCL participants and their families are encouraged to get in quickly to secure their seat!

Proudly sponsored by KFC, the VCL’s night of nights will be held on Friday 5th February, 2010 to coincide with the Melbourne Victory’s final home game against North Queensland Fury.

Commencing at 5pm and concluding in time for the Victory game’s kick off at 8pm, the Gold Medal Night will honour the best and fairest VCL participants in each of the League’s age divisions, as well as the top goal scorers.  In addition to these player awards, Zones will be in the running for Zone of the Year and the Fair Play award, whilst the most outstanding coaches and referees will also be acknowledged.

Each of the VCL’s Premiers will also receive their Pennants, with a great mix of Zones taking out the top of the League award at the conclusion of the home and away series pre-Christmas.  Those teams which will be presented include the Southern Bluetongues Under 18 Boys’ team and the Central City Open Women’s team, both of which also won their division’s Championship.

In addition to these, the North West Wanderers will receive their pennant for winning the Under 15 Boys Premiership, whilst the Western Wolves collect the Under 13 and Under 14 Boys’ Premierships.  In the girls’ divisions the South East Cougars will take home the Under 13 Girls’ Premiership, and the North East Diamonds the Under 15 and Under 17 Girls’.

Hosted by members of SEN’s ‘The Four Diegos’, the night will be attended by a number of special guests, including players from both the Melbourne Victory men’s and women’s teams.  Highlighting Football Federation Australia’s support of the Victorian Champions League FFA’s Technical Director, Han Berger, will be in attendance along with John Boultbee, FFA’s Head of National Teams and Football Development.

Guests can book their Gold Medal Night ticket with or without a match-entry ticket to the Melbourne Victory Game to  accommodate those who have a Melbourne Victory Membership, however all guests should note that they must have a valid ground entry ticket and a Gold Medal Night pass to gain entry to the function.

To secure your booking, please email vcl@footballfedvic.com.au or phone Georgie Herbert on 03 9474 1800.
