Facilities Funding Opportunity - Strengthening the World Game Program

Are inadequate facilities holding back your club's growth? There is a way forward...

Football Federation Victoria encourages clubs to improve their facilities with funding support from the Victorian State Government.

In the 2009/2010 Victorian State Budget, the Government made a commitment of $5.7 million over three years to the Strengthening the World Game Program (SWGP) to assist local football clubs and organisations to upgrade existing or develop new facilities to maximise their capacity to cater for additional participation in football.  Grants of up to $100,000 will be made to projects which have matching funds from Councils and clubs.

Grant applications – which must be made by local Councils – are open now.  Closing date for the next round of assessments is Wednesday 3 March 2010. Applications made in the previous round are currently being assessed.
