FFV Coach Instructors roll-out new national community coach education program

FFV's Zone Development Officer's and Coach Instructors, Darren Tan and Josh Vinecombe.

Football Federation Victoria's (FFV) Coach Instructors Darren Tan and Josh Vinecombe continued the successful roll out of the new national  community coach education program at the Events Worldwide State Football Centre in Thornbury  last weekend.

Over 35 active coaches involved across a wide range of FFV leagues attended the Junior and Senior Certificate 1 programs, braving the heat and wind to hone up their coaching skills in line with Football Federation Australia's (FFA) new national coaching curriculum.

The coaches found the new approach challenging but highly relevant to working with today's players. They are also looking forward to accessing FFA's new coaching resource website which will allow qualified coaches access to an online toolkit with over 1500 exercises and games to use in club training sessions.

FFV is encouraging the acquisition by coaches of the new qualifications through a rebate on club team entry fees. Please click here for  details.

Coaches are urged to sign up for upcoming courses to upgrade their skills, please click here for available courses.  More courses will be added to the program in upcoming weeks.
